The installation of three new Seatrac facilities in Agia Pelagia, Diakofti, and Palaiopolis has been completed to ensure access to the sea for people with mobility impairments or limited mobility.
The installation of the three Seatrac units was carried out as part of the «Accessible Kythira» project, with a total budget of €167,493, which is funded by the Operational Program «Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation 2014–2020.».
The three new structures are being added to the existing (since 2015) in Kapsali, which will be repositioned in the coming days, providing geographic coverage of the entire island of Kythira. At the same time, the distribution of the new infrastructure ensures that At least one of the facilities will be in operation every day, regardless of weather conditions.
The implementation of this project supports our municipality’s efforts to promoting policies for the smooth integration of people with disabilities on an equal footing.
