Five years' imprisonment with three years' suspension and a fine of EUR 10,000, imposed the Thessaloniki Trial Court of Thessaloniki, to the well-known former anchorman, Stathis Panagiotopoulos, in the case of the posting of a sex video with his former partner without her consent.
At the same time, he was imposed the obligation to appear on the first five days of each month at a police station near his place of residence, as well as a ban on leaving the country, according to thesstoday.
What a friend of Panagiotopoulos testified
«After he was released after the arrest, he asked me to enter his profile and delete all the relevant posts», a witness testified during the trial of the former presenter, Stathis Panagiotopoulos.
He then added «four to five days I searched for posts based on the keywords in the dossier and asked for them to be taken down immediately». These were reportedly testified by a friend of the well-known presenter, among others.
The trial behind closed doors - Panagiotopoulos absent
“The trial was held ”behind closed doors" after the agreement of both sides.
Due to the publicity and sensitivity of the issue, the complainant's lawyer requested that the trial be held behind closed doors, which was agreed to by the other side.
