In the immediate detection of the wild homicide in convenience store in the area of Toumba, with a 44 year old employee as the victim, the Department of Crimes against Life of the Security of Thessaloniki proceeded.
The authorities had already concluded - after analysing video footage - that there were two perpetrators of the killing, with one of them keeping watch at a close distance from the shop.
First, the 35-year-old Greek lookout was identified on Sunday night and then the 27-year-old Albanian perpetrator, who was hiding in a house and it took a police operation to arrest him. Both of them were taken to the Police for questioning, where they confessed to their actions.
The 27-year-old claimed that he did not act intentionally and that during the altercation, the gun discharged and caused a contact injury to the victim's head.
The two arrested have been previously employed again by the authorities for possession of small quantities of drugs, while a case file is being formed against them and they are expected to be brought before the Prosecutor. Official announcements are expected later from the Security of Thessaloniki.
