Confirmed the reports that the information the “Island”, the series that aired in 2010-2011 on Mega and made history in Greek television, is back.
In particular, the author of the book of the same name on which the series was based, Victoria Hislop, said that she has written the sequel and that there are discussions to bring her story back to the small screen.
“I've written the sequel to The Island. It's just been released and it's called “One Night in August”. We've started a draft of the script to make it a TV series. Maybe it will be next year. Our first idea, what we want, is to have protagonists from “The Island” in this cycle as well, because the story starts a few years after the last one. It will be set in Crete, but also in Athens, because a very important character has moved,“ Victoria Hislop said in a statement backstage at DWTS, where she is participating this year.
