On Tuesday 3 November 2020, the Vice-Regional Governor of the Attica Islands Vasso Theodorakopoulou-Bogri welcomed in her office the new Central Port Authority of Piraeus, George Skandalis, wished him success in his work and discussed issues of common interest.
Η Vice-Regional Commissioner had the opportunity to put to the new Central Port Authority matters of relevance:
- checks on compliance with measures COVID on the vessels operating to the islands
- of the checks on persons moving to the islands but also the controls of those who carry companion animals who do not carry the chip provided for by the legislation for their electronic identification, a case directly linked to the worsening problem of abandonment on the islands
- of controls on the line Faneromeni - Nea Peramos
- the fight against illegal shellfishing
- the reinforcement of the Salamina port department with personnel, cars and watercraft
