The investigating authorities decided to remand the actor Petros Filippidis in custody, to which the well-known actor apologized on Tuesday afternoon.
He is facing charges of one rape and two attempted rapes and has denied all charges and is on his way to jail.
According to the information, the three victims have already been summoned and testified, confirming what they testified to the prosecutor.
It is recalled that Petros Filippidis is accused of three cases. The first of which concerns a rape in 2008, while the other two concern attempted rape in 2010 and 2014.
The accused in his memorandum to the prosecutor denied the charges, claiming in connection with the 2008 rape case that the woman who accused him was causing problems in his life.
«She was obsessed with me and was always highly communicative. Of course I never tried to approach her romantically, I didn't call her at night, as she claims, nor did I send her text messages. On the contrary, she called me constantly and persistently, even during the summer holidays, when I was with my family, which put both me and my wife in an awkward position,» he said in his apology memorandum.
The complainant in the same case allegedly went to meet the actor at the theatre to discuss a role. According to her, P. Filippidis, after their discussion, allegedly forced her to perform sexual acts, which constitute rape.
Regarding the attempted rape in 2010, the young actress allegedly visited the well-known actor at the theatre because he had mentioned to her that he was looking for a replacement for an actress who participated in the show. P. Filippidis allegedly led her to his dressing room, where he allegedly attempted to rape her.
Finally, regarding the second case of attempted rape, the complainant had described in an interview that in August 2014 she had met with the actor and director to find a job. The woman got into his car to return her home after their meeting, but he drove her in the car to a dead-end alley in Paleo Psychiko, where, according to what she described, she tried to rape her.
