The government responds to the objections of shopkeepers to the new measures with crude blackmail. Launching the pandemic version of «shock and awe», the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, did not hesitate to threaten catering professionals on OPEN on Wednesday morning, 30/06.
In fact, he revealed, he even launched threats of bankruptcy in the winter if the cases of coronavirus get the upper hand.
With empathy and making professionals in the field responsible for the implementation of the measures, he described, speaking to OPEN what he replied to a shopkeeper who called him and complained about the measures.
«Do you want us to close you down again in the winter and now that there is no money to go bankrupt?», was his chilling response to a professional who had been out of business for almost nine months.
And this response by Adonis Georgiades encapsulates the government's new policy to justify its failure in the vaccination campaign despite the millions allocated by the Pezza list in the media.
One a policy of blackmail and denigration professionals who should not have an opinion and a different opinion on the measures since the government is directly threatening them with bankruptcy.
