A decrease of 80%, compared to a year ago, is recorded in the number of residents immigrants on island-based facilities, the government spokesperson said in a Twitter post Yannis Oikonomou.
“The number of migrants in island reception facilities is steadily declining, and the same trend is observed on the mainland and in the «ESTIA» apartments. According to projections, the number of migrants staying on the islands is expected to decrease by 80% compared to May 2021,” Mr. Oikonomou stated.
