Aliki Rigou was born in Athens. She studied painting, mosaic and engraving at the Athens School of Fine Arts 1998 -2004. She lives and works in Athens and in the island of Kythera. She has presented five solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions both in Greece and abroad. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and in AIMC-International Association of Contemporary Mosaicists.
I could describe my work on mosaics as an interactive relationship with the form, the material on the one hand, and, on the other hand with the intangible, the experience, which is immanent like a whisper.
Referring to my work, I could characterize it as an effort to map, not only the material world but also the spiritual one.
