Noon on April 20, 2023, at 1:21 p.m., at the main street of Livadi on Kythira. The garbage truck of Municipality of Kythira carries out collection. We ask the Mayor of Kythera Efstratios Harhalakis, the Deputy Mayor Georgios Kominos (Zorba), who is in charge of this matter and the political parties to respond to us:
- What do they see in this particular video?;
- What are people saying about it?;
- Is recycling done in Kythira, or not?;
- Where do mixed waste and recyclables go?;
We look forward to everyone's responses, and we'll be back with more information and visual material.
Until we receive a response, however, let us once again inform our readers about the funds that Greek and European taxpayers have contributed toward the creation and operation of the Sanitary Landfills and of Recyclable Materials Sorting Center (RMSC):
- Waste Management: Kythira Landfill – Antikythira Landfill Fully Operational / Budget: €9,150,350
- Mixed and Other Waste Management Services at the Kythira Landfill
Budget: €899,145
