Which activities are restarting today – Who is required to take self-tests

The following are resuming operations as of today: infant care centers, daycare centers, and kindergartens .

In addition, practical and lab exercises will resume starting today in Vocational Training Institute (IEK) and Colleges, as well as the live operation of the Second Chance Schools and the Preparatory Certification Program for the Post-High School Year – Apprenticeship Class (EPAL), always through the implementation of self-test Once a week—before Monday—for both trainees and instructors.

At the same time, starting today, the following are resuming operations: Music Education Institutions, for private lessons only (a ratio of one student to one instructor/teacher).

Finally, starting today, the sports academies will begin offering individual training sessions in small, fixed groups of up to 10 people.

Who is required to take the self-tests?

Starting today, students, teachers, administrative staff, and other personnel are required to take a self-test once a week in order to attend schools nationwide. The test must be taken within 24 hours before arriving at school each Monday morning.

In addition to students and teachers, those working in the public sector, in local government, military and civilian personnel of the Ministry of National Defense, the Hellenic Police, the Fire Department, the Coast Guard, and court employees. At the same time, those working in the retail trade, in focus, in financial and insurance activities, transportation, cleaning services, hair salons and barbershops, beauty salons, gambling and betting services, and driving schools.

Employees must take two self-tests per week, with the first provided free of charge and the second paid for by the employer.

Please note that students at daycare centers and preschools will not be required to take a self-test.
