On the need for a a plan for organised social contact, which will be channelled into all channels of social and economic behaviour, was the Professor of Pulmonology, Nikos Tzanakis.
Mr. Tzanakis, speaking on OPEN's morning show “Hellenic Hour”, said that if the decision to open the retail trade, we decouple this activity from the pandemic indicators, this should be translated into a more general channelling of human activity towards a controlled social behaviour. This behaviour will extend both to the area of focus, through structured small assemblies, as well as in moving from county to county, with vaccination certificate and/or negative self-test.
For Mr.Tzanakis, this will activate another parameter of human behaviour, psychology, as man, as a social being, needs - especially in our difficult times - these small doses of decompression, so that he can then apply the measures in a better mood.
«And I think if we all lock ourselves in, we'll get rid of the virus faster. But, as experience has proven, you cannot keep people excluded for long periods of time, as this has an impact on their psychology, it becomes painful, tiring and pushes them into prolonged relaxation.».
Mr.Tzanakis stressed that until about mid-April, the epidemiological curve is expected to peak, which will translate into numbers of cases that may approach 5 thousand cases per day (depending on the number of tests). From then on, however, we expect a decline in epidemiological indicators and gradual control of the pandemic.
