The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announced today that it has reached agreements to produce the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine «with companies in Italy, Spain, France, and Germany,» pending its approval by the European Union.
«There are currently other discussions underway aimed at increasing production within the EU. This will allow us to begin supplying the European internal market with Sputnik-V following its approval by the European Medicines Agency,» Fund head Kirill Dmitriev noted in a press release.
