A teleconference with Ambassador Fragiskos Kostellenos, who is on secondment to the Consulate General in Mariupol, Consul General Manolis Androulakis, and Consul General in Odessa Dimitris Dochtsis.
The purpose of the teleconference was to provide an update on the latest developments, as well as on ways to assist Greek citizens and members of the Greek diaspora in Ukraine, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the videoconference in question, as reported, the Consul General in Mariupol reported that the mayor of the village of Sartana had asked the village’s residents to evacuate and move to Mariupol, which is located about ten kilometers away.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his gratitude to the above-mentioned individuals for their work and emphasized that he would remain in constant communication with them, given that the safety and protection of Greek citizens and members of the Greek diaspora is a top priority for our country.
Also present at the teleconference was Sofia Grammata, the ambassador to Bucharest, who has taken on the task of coordinating the reception of citizens arriving in Moldova and Romania from Ukraine.
