The Kythira and Antikythira Local Property Commission held the fifth and final phase of the auction for Kythira’s beaches today.
The positions that were put up for auction today were:

Today’s auction for Chalkos Beach did not turn into a gold rush, as the winning bids for the beach umbrellas came in at €10,100, which is roughly half the amount it was auctioned for three years ago.
For Fyri Ammo, there was only one interested party, who purchased the umbrellas at the starting price of €3,500. The concession stand did not attract the interest of any business owner.
The final bid amounts for each winning bidder are as follows:
Fyri Ammos, umbrellas: €3,500 Dimitris Megalokonomos (sole bidder)
Fyri Ammos, snack bar: No takers (no interested parties)
Copper, umbrellas: €10,100, Ioannis Kopsavitis (among 6 participants)
Chalkos, canteen: €8,100, Ioannis Kopsavitis (among 5 participants)
