A female figure, barefoot and dressed in shades of red and gold, hovers above the city. A source of life and the core of the world, she captivates and draws in everything that surrounds and defines us. She redefines the representation of women. This is what the poster depicts. 63rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival created by the visual artist Dimitris Trimitzios (Taxis). She is the real-life superheroine who transcends and goes beyond the countless roles assigned to her. She challenges each of us—and all of us together—to see things from a new perspective.
The artist created the original work on canvas and in acrylic on paper. It will be exhibited at the 63rd Festival, at MOMus—Experimental Arts Center, and the artist will then donate the work to the Festival so that it can be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to support abused women.
