The injury was caused by riot police intervention against students protesting against the police presence in front of the Faculty of Science of the Aristotle University Thessaloniki.
Repression forces used flash-bang grenades to repel the protesters. One student was injured in the attack and was picked up from the roadside in a bloody state by an ambulance.

The ambulance just took him to the hospital.
