The news of the death of Anastasios (Tassos) Provataris from Potamos, Kythira, has cast a shadow of sadness over the island.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11, at 11:30 a.m., at the Church of Saint Anastasia.
His daughter, Evita Sofiu, bid him farewell with words of emotion and love:
«You’ve been freed from your illness, and now you’re flying free. You’re right beside me, but I can’t hug you. I feel the emptiness growing. I feel guilty. ’You don’t know how much I love you,“ you told me. And you don’t know how much I love you, Dad. I love you to the end of my days. I will love you even beyond death.’.
