Police officers arrested on Thursday night in the area of Painter, the leading member of the Golden Dawn, Christos Pappas, who had been missing since October 2020, when the trial against the members of the criminal organisation.
According to reports, one person was hosting Christos Pappas at his house.
He is now in the detention of the Anti-Terrorist Service and on Friday he is expected to be brought before the Public Prosecutor for Execution of Sentences, as he has a pending conviction for the charge of the management of the criminal organisation.
It is recalled that through his lawyer, the former MP of Golden Dawn had declared on 22 October 2020 that he would not surrender to the police authorities, refusing to serve the a sentence of 13 years and 6 months' imprisonment imposed on him by the Criminal Court of Appeal during the trial of the organisation.
