N. Dendias meets with his Libyan counterpart Naila el-Mangous

The Foreign Minister will meet today with his Libyan counterpart, Naila el-Mangous, in a meeting with the Libyan Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

There will be a private meeting, extended talks between the two delegations, followed by a working lunch.

Joint statements to the press are expected to take place at 16.20.

The focus of the discussions is expected to be on Greek support for the Libya, the bilateral relations, always on the basis of respect for the International Law and in particular Law of the Sea, developments in Libya ahead of the planned elections on 24 December, and EU-Libya relations.

It is also expected to examine wider developments in the Mediterranean region.
