Arrested yesterday morning on a rural road of Evros by police officers of the Special Operational Group of Direct Intervention of the Alexandroupolis Police Directorate two traffickers, a foreigner and a national, while they had loaded three immigrants in a car without the necessary documents, in order to illegally promote them to the mainland. In the afternoon of the same day, police officers of the Border Guard Department of Iasmos arrested a Greek trafficker on the Egnatia Odos Komotini - Xanthi, who was transporting ten immigrants in a private vehicle without the necessary documents. The arrested persons will be brought to the competent prosecutors, while the preliminary investigation of the two cases is being carried out by the Soufli Alexandroupolis Border Guard Department and the Iasmos Border Guard Department.
Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, police officers of the Migration Management Department of Pieria arrested a foreigner, who, as established in a police check made by officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team of the Katerini Security Directorate, in the vehicle he was driving, transported five foreigners, who lacked travel documents, in order to promote them inside the country, for a monetary reward. A case was also filed against the owner of the vehicle, which was seized.
