Settlement of debts that have been or will be established from 15.2.2020 until 30.6.2021

Ο Municipality of Kythira, pursuant to Law No. 4764/2020 (Government Gazette 256/December 23, 2020, Issue A) ’Measures for the protection of public health from the consequences of the pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus, the strengthening of public transportation, the acceleration of pension payments, the settlement of debts owed to local government agencies, and other urgent provisions,» announces the debt adjustment that have been confirmed or will be confirmed from February 15, 2020, through June 30, 2021 and debts that became past due, including settlement losses, from February 15, 2020, to June 11, 2021 (Official Gazette No. 4807/2021).

Eligible for this program are individuals and legal entities that have suffered financial consequences as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The above-mentioned law stipulates that the applications are submitted From March 1, 2021, through October 31, 2021, at the latest.

Specifically:

A. The following are subject to the provisions of Law No. 4764/2020: debts owed to municipalities and their legal entities that have been certified or will be certified from February 15, 2020, through June 30, 2021 and debts that became past due, including settlement losses, from February 15, 2020, to June 11, 2021 (Official Gazette No. 4807/2021).

Β. Debts may be paid as a lump sum or in equal monthly installments (except for the last one, which may be smaller than the others) with a percentage exemption from the surcharges and late-payment interest imposed by KEDE, as well as from penalties for late filing, failure to file, filing an inaccurate return, or failure to pay the fee.

C. The debt subject to a payment plan is paid off in a lump sum, or the first installment is paid within three (3) business days from the date of enrollment in the payment plan; otherwise, the plan is automatically terminated. Subsequent installments must be paid by the last business day of the respective month, without requires special notification of the debtor.

Δ. Each dose, except for the last one, must not be less than twenty (20) euros for individual debtors and fifty (50) euros for business debtors of all kinds.
