I am very pleased to learn of the existence of the “Museum of Kythirian Emigration” because my grandmother Maria, daughter of Michalis Pavlakis and Fotini (née Katsouli), was born in Kalisperianika, Kythira, and emigrated to Alexandria, Egypt,in the year 1882. I have a family photograph from 1910 in Alexandria in which four of the people pictured were born in Kythira.
Well done on the founding of the Museum of Kythirian Emigration. Congratulations.
