The offers and discounts of oil companies combined with the state subsidy for heating oil «warmed» the interest of consumers, despite the fact that the final price remains higher than last year.
The average price of heating oil according to the observatory of the Ministry of Development was formed on Tuesday (19/10) nationwide at 1.414 euros per liter and in Attica 1.384 euros.
According to fuel market sources, demand for heating oil is active and «most of the calls consumers make to request price information result in an order for even a small quantity. Probably many are rushing to take advantage of the offers that have been announced and have an expiry date to forestall possible price increases in the coming period,» they added.
It is recalled that the government proceeded to subsidise the price by reducing the excise duty by 25 cents per litre including VAT. In addition, the following promotional programmes have been announced by the marketing companies so far:
-The refineries of HELPE have given a discount to the marketing companies, amounting to 7.5 cents per litre including VAT.
- EKO of the same group (Hellenic Energy) proceeds with an additional discount of 5% until 21 November.
AVIN offers a 5% profit for purchases with Piraeus Bank credit cards for the entire heating season until April, with the possibility of up to 12 interest-free instalments through winbank.
At the same time, members of the AVIN I Win loyalty programme have 0.5 points per litre of heating oil, which gives them gift vouchers to be redeemed at AVIN service stations.
-Shell offers consumers who place orders through 18330, allSmart.gr and selected Shell service stations the opportunity to receive a 10Euro per 1,000 litres (1 cent per litre) discount for purchases over 1,000 litres until 31 December 2022. At the same time, the company is offering double Smart points (1 point per litre instead of 0.5 points per litre) for all heating oil purchases until 30 April 2023.
In addition, consumers can make purchases with all credit cards and receive up to 12 interest-free instalments.
-Elin for orders from the headquarters and for deliveries of at least 400 litres within Attica provides 12 interest-free instalments with credit card.
