Walter Veltroni, former mayor of Rome and film critic, announced the news in a post on Twitter. «Roberto Russo, her partner all these years, has asked me to share that Monica Vitti is no longer with us. I do so with great sadness, affection, and nostalgia,» he wrote on his account on the popular platform.
