An artist from Canada has broken a Guinness World Record by painting a butterfly with spices covering an area of 84 square metres.
Preethi Vijay from Surrey used turmeric, paprika and cloves for her work, which, as confirmed by the Guinness World Records organisation, is the largest spice painting in the world.
Vijay, a former software engineer, is a self-taught artist who now sells her works on social media.
As he explained, he prefers to create works with natural materials. «I like to use coffee,» Vijay told CTV News. «Then suddenly I got the idea to create with spices like turmeric, paprika, which have vibrant colours.».
