«All Together» against the minor opposition: «Cooperation for solutions, not so-called rebellions...»

In a statement, the municipal faction of the major opposition «All Together - Kythera - Antikythera» welcomes the institution of Domestic Property and stresses the importance of unity of all the forces of Kythera and Antikythera for the development of the islands. On the occasion of the recent elections of the Commission, the party reaffirmed its commitment to support the Domestic Estate and pointed out the need for an integrated vision and strategy.

The statement includes sharp criticism of the minor opposition, rejecting accusations of identification with the Municipal Authority and denouncing insults to the electorate and the local community. The faction called for cooperation to address the island's problems, noting that the priority is realistic solutions and not «so-called rebellions».

We welcome and support the institution of Domestic Assets. It is a Cypriot conquest which we must protect.

The best way to support the Domestic Assets is the effort to rally all the forces of Kythera and Antikythera that have the development of our islands and the improvement of the lives of residents and friends as their main objective.

We have always been and will always be present in this effort. This is the rationale with which we entered the elections for the new administration of the Domestic Property Committee, this is the vision we developed, this is the criterion with which we voted.

We should note that the elections were attended by already elected representatives of the local community. They were elected under the unfair electoral law that gives an absolute majority with 43%... We are proud of our party's electors who were voted in by Cypriots and Anti-Cypriots, but we are not enough... However, we respect the voters' verdict (although many of them have already regretted it)...

Many people ask us: Were you satisfied with the way and the results of the functioning of the outgoing Inland Revenue Commission?;
-We acknowledge the effort to defend the property, the effort to eliminate trespassers, the effort to modernize certain functions. In these there has been an honest attitude of the outgoing Board.
At the same time, we see the need to formulate an integrated vision, a long-term strategy and a plan for the utilization of the property while protecting the environment. There have also been some actions that have been opposed by us and we have already referred to them.
- In this direction we will continue to work in cooperation with the new Board of the EESC, and we will continue to inform all our compatriots.
We must express our surprise at the announcement of the minor opposition faction that tries to identify us with the Municipal Authority! It is a laughing matter. We have played volleyball and gone to concerts, but above all we have exercised our institutional role by checking on the municipal administration for its incompetence in matters of water supply, transport, schools, etc. We even made efforts to unite the opposition to present alternative realistic proposals to all the problems. We did not stick to beer and parties!

Our party is not one of sensationalism and so-called bravado. We don't bang on tables to apologize afterwards...

The faction «Free Kythera» has committed another huge blunder for which it must immediately apologize: In its announcement it describes the electors as «a bunch of rude, uncultivated, uncultivated middle-aged and over-aged men». In this way she insults the whole of Cypriots and Anti-Cypriots. He appears to have an ageism (agism is said in English «educated» gentlemen of the «Free Kytherians») when now the vast majority of Cypriots are of that age. He also has the audacity to describe our elected representatives of our residents as «uncultured». Many of our parents and friends failed to get an education simply because they worked from a young age and the money was not available. We are proud of them and their contributions to society. They may not have the «rhetorical skill» of the leader of the minor opposition (sic), but it is an insult to describe as «uncultivated» those who spent a lifetime working the land to educate their children.

Apology, you will also ask for what you falsely presented in the announcement of your faction, with unsubstantiated accusations of «similar factions» ( when you pre-election you made slide 3 times to Kalamavro... very quickly you forgot your appointments, and fraudulently concealed from your voters), when we presented our proposals for development, for productive reconstruction, we talked about development and protection of property from trespassers, you had your eyes on your mobile phone ... Do not forget, you there in the EP, to inform your audience honestly that after the elections you kissed and worshipped and begged for cooperation from all the patrons of the island, you defenders of democracy. Do not look at what you write, but at what you do behind closed doors and in dark rooms. You are the ones who, when your personal interests are not even in the interest of your party, do not serve your own. . . . you bark.

Gentlemen of the minor opposition «get off your asses». Do not see your shadow in the morning and think it is your boot. We think it is worth seeing again that to be useful to our islands you need to understand who the opponent is, not just want to make noise (after all, empty cans make noise)...

Even now we call on you to cooperate in order to help expose the incompetence of the Municipality's administration. We call on you to cooperate in order to put forward realistic solutions to the problems of Kytheria and Antikytheria. The residents and friends of our islands want solutions and not just so-called rebellions.
