With «spring» weather and with great devotion and devotion, the Holy Water Consecration was celebrated in Agia Pelagia. At 4 p.m. a large number of people from all over the island honored the festivities in the harbor, presided by His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Kythera and Antikythera and the priests Konstantinos Bithikotsis, Peter Mariatos and John Golematis. The Mayor of Kythera Efstratios Harhalakis, the Deputy Mayor Panagiotis Zantiotis and the Councillor Konstantinos Kapsalis honoured the event with their presence.
Anargyros Sophios took up the cross
Defying the cold waters but with the power of God, five young children from Kythera dived into the icy waters to catch the Holy Cross. The lucky one was Anargyros Sophios (policeman) from Potamos.
The message of the day was sent by all those present to all Kytherians and to all Christians everywhere!
