«I'm not the type of person who desperately needs sex and goes out to socialize with people who are looking for the same thing,» Barimore wrote in a post on her blog.
Barimore, who has two daughters with Will Kopelman, then revealed that she had not been with anyone since their divorce in 2016.
Barimore, who was idolized as a symbol of Hollywood, now «has very different feelings about intimacy compared to the past,» and is now very clear that «love and sex are not the same thing.».
When she was younger, Barimore prioritized pleasure and «hedonism.» However, «after such a full life,» she enjoys spending time with her children, aged 10 and 8.

Barimore claims that she was more interested in teaching her daughters how to «love themselves,» while she believed that a sexual relationship could interfere with her work.
