As part of the National Primary Health Care Program, the Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) will visit the Kythira General Hospital and Health Center “Trifyllio” from Saturday, February 1 through Tuesday, February 4, 2025, providing free health services to all citizens.
Operating Schedule
• Saturday, February 1, 2025: 12:00-17:00
• Sunday, February 2, through Tuesday, February 4, 2025: 09:00-17:00

Specialists from various medical fields will participate in the Mobile Medical Units, such as:

• Pulmonologist
• Neurologist
• General Surgeon (Breast Examination)
• Pediatrician
• Dentist

• Dietitian
Diagnostic Tests and Services
Citizens will have access to a wide range of tests, such as:
• Digital mammography and X-ray screening
• Bone density measurement
• Electrocardiogram and cardiac triplex
• Prostate exam
• Thyroid examination and blood tests
• Lung function test
• Nutritional assessment and counseling
All services are provided completely free, thereby improving access to quality health care for all residents.

Objective and Significance of the Initiative
This initiative aims to improve access to health care services in remote and island regions, such as Kythira, by providing substantial support to the local community.
With funding from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and the participation of leading scientific and medical institutions, the Mobile Medical Units strengthen primary health care, with an emphasis on prevention and care.
