The new laboratory-confirmed cases of covid-19, recorded in the last 24 hours by the EODY, are 3,491, of which 10 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.
The total number of cases is 267,172 (daily change +1.3%), of which 51.5% are males. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 98 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,927 are associated with an already known case.
There are 67 new deaths of patients with COVID-19, with a total of 8,160 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.7% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 755 (64.5% men). Their median age is 68 years. 82.9% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,717 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New Covid-19 patient admissions to hospitals in the territory are 561 (daily change +17.12%). The seven-day average admission rate is 448 patients. The median age of cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 105 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0 to 103 years).
From 1 January 2020 to date, in laboratories that perform testing for the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and that systematically report the total number of samples they test, a total of 4,188,841 clinical samples have been tested, while 2,400,363 samples have been tested by Health Units and HODY Clinics that perform Rapid Ag testing. The seven-day average is 39,963 sample audits.
