The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on Saturday afternoon (27/11) that the laboratory-confirmed new cases of coronavirus are 5,870, of which 12 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.
The total number of cases is 920,683 (daily change +0.6%), of which 50.6% are males. 1 Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 109 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,740 are associated with an already known case.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 641 (59.8% men). Their median age is 65 years. 81.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 518 (80.81%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 123 (19.19%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,493 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 451 (daily change -6.63%). The seven-day average admission rate is 446 patients. The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
