Resolution on the loss of the painter, George Drizos, adopted by the Governing Board of the Kythira Foundation for Culture and Development. In the announcement, the ties that the deceased had developed with the Kythera, from which he drew inspiration for much of his work.

«The President and the Members of the Board of Directors of the Kythira Foundation for Culture and Development, on the loss of the late George Drizos, who was one of the leading painters of Greece and a fervent friend of our island, contributing substantially to the emergence and intellectual development of the Foundation with his six decades of annual residence and activity in the Foundation and the creation of a large part of his work with Kythera as a source of inspiration, and willingly supporting the charitable purposes of the Foundation with a regular annual offer of a monetary prize for the primary students of the Lyceum and by many other means, unanimously decided to express publicly and to the families of his brothers their deep regret and the friends of the Foundation.’
