The fifth film in the iconic film series is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2023, with James Mangold directing, replacing Steven Spielberg, who is now producing.
Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny will see Harrison Ford return to his iconic role as action archaeologist Indiana Jones in an adventure in which he confronts his own mortality.
Lucasfilm has finally begun marketing for the fifth Indiana Jones film, directed by James Mangold and set for release on June 30, 2023. The first trailer for Indiana Jones 5 revealed a weathered Harrison Ford in flashbacks, a series of stunning action sequences and of course the unforgettable theme tune. He also confirmed the film's title.
The latest film is officially called Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. It clearly follows a tried and tested format for this franchise, naming the legendary power object that Indiana Jones is now pursuing. Indy may still insist he doesn't believe in magic, but he's already seen the Ark of the Covenant and hunted a Crystal Skull that turned out to be linked to aliens. Now, he's on to a more mysterious artifact, one called the Dial of Destiny, which apparently has similar power to change the world.
