How much are our lives worth, brother?;

Η the murder of Alkis In Thessaloniki, it was an event that shook Greek society to its core. The ease with which certain individuals decided that another human being no longer deserved to live is, at the very least, terrifying, repulsive, and alarming—from so many different perspectives.

However, it brought to light an issue that we, as a society, had set aside. That of fan violence.

I wonder how much exposure these frequent death threats exchanged among fans?; None, unless you end up in the hospital.

Or have we perhaps forgotten how neo-Nazism took root—and continues to take root—even within the fan community?;

Have we perhaps forgotten who pays these guys their allowances? Or have all these «team leaders» from certain fan clubs forgotten what they are and where they work?;

I don't think we can afford to keep playing dumb any longer. We owe it to Alkis, Filopoulos, and every victim of fan violence.

As if that weren’t enough, yesterday they also attacked a 14-year-old boy—again over a rivalry—causing him multiple injuries. Fortunately, the child was saved after hotel staff intervened.

There isn't one, you know, something more horrible than begging others to stop hitting you.

On December 30 I was attacked by two guys in Chania who, in their madness, were shouting, «Only AEK!». I wasn't robbed; that wasn't the motive. The motive was simply The Joy of WoodworkingI don't remember how many times I begged them to stop hitting me on the head.

I was lucky and came away from that incident with just injuries, mainly superficially. And many mentally However.

Alkis, Michalis Filopoulos, and many others, unfortunately, were not so lucky.

All of this causes me deep, multifaceted pain.

As someone who goes to the arena and loves basketball and his team.

As a victim of an attack motivated by similar reasons, but above all as a human being.

It's scary how much hatred It still exists, and as the years go by, it becomes more and more ingrained in people’s hearts. Or just how accustomed we’ve become to it.

The hatred expressed through Golden Dawn has not disappeared. It still exists. It has simply changed the way it is expressed.

Hate, as he said, Profane in his song of the same name, He's wearing a scarf; you're sitting next to him.

And finally, I’d like to conclude this series of thoughts with what a friend of PAOK wrote on a piece of paper he left at the scene of Alkis’s murder: «You're not coming back. I'm never setting foot in a stadium again. I'm sick of them. Hate them, and love your own ideas, not their tastes.».
