At the symposium “Landmarks of memory and culture in the educational region of Piraeus” organized by the Piraeus DPE and the Municipality of Nice - A.I.Renti, participates the Kythira High School.
The symposium will take place between 10 and 13 May. There will be a presentation of the educational programme “Kytheira High School, 100 YEARS OF PROVISION IN Kytheira”, which was implemented at the school during the current school year. The planning was supervised by the Headmistress Stavroula Facea and the teachers George Lourantos and Maria Miligaki. The presentation at the symposium will be made by George Lourantos.
During the implementation of the programme, well-known and renowned Kytherians were invited and spoke to the students about the history of the school and their personal experiences. In the photo below, the distinguished and award-winning scientist Dr. Manolis Kalokairinos, (Volias) a beloved doctor, a graduate of the historical Kythera High School, talks to the students about the time when he was a student.
