In a post by Eleni Charos on Facebook, we read about the feast of Saint Gerasimos and in which churches of Kythera we honor him
Here is the post:
«We honour Saint Gerasimos in Kythera in two churches. In Agios Ioannis in Agriolies, an old male monastery, there is a platform of St. Gerasimos and an icon of the saint, a dedication of the 18th century hieromonk Gerasimos Darmaros. St. Anthimos Kourouklis, the missionary of the Aegean from Kefalonia, passed through there for a time in 1773, renovated the complex and is considered the new owner. The second church in Kythera where the saint is venerated is privately owned on the estate of the doctor Peter Mariatos, a native of Kefalonia, who offered and offers his love and science lavishly to Kythera as a doctor and later his ministry as a priest.»
