Ukrainian emergency services said that five people were killed in the Russian attack on the TV tower in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior announced earlier that Russian forces had bombed a television tower in Kyiv, causing a disruption in broadcasts.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called Russia barbaric for its attack on the tower located near a memorial to the victims of Babi Yar, the site of one of the largest massacres of Jews during the Nazi Holocaust.
“Russian military forces attacked the TV tower near the Babi Yar memorial,“ he said on Twitter. ”The Russian criminals will stop at nothing, continuing their barbarity. Russia = barbarians.”.
