«We did what we had to do—and much more. Above all, we reaffirmed the sacred idea that in America, The government is talking to the people», said the outgoing president.
He is committed to maintaining a constant presence on the political scene, noting that his movement is «just getting started.».
«Now, as I prepare to hand over power to a new administration, I want you to know that the movement we started is just beginning,» he notes.
The outgoing U.S. president, taking stock of his term in office, boasted today that he had «united» the world against China and did not cause any war during the four years he served in office.
«We have revitalized our alliances and united the nations of the world to confront China as never before,» he said in his farewell speech, Republican tycoon, according to excerpts that were made public.
«I am particularly proud because I was the first president in decades who did not start a new war.», he added.
