The community of Kythira bids a sad farewell to Alexis Petrocheilos, a hardworking, beloved man who was always willing to stand by his fellow citizens. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all those who knew him and experienced his kindness and generosity firsthand.

«As heavy as the chains are, so are the black clothes"
’Because I wore them, too, for a love I once had»
«Have a safe trip, Uncle Alex», were his words.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, at 5:00 p.m., at the Church of Saint Charalambos in Fratsia (in Petrochilianika).
Alexis Petrocheilos was a talented dancer and singer in his youth, a man who stood out for his passion and his spirit. He worked hard as a truck driver and selflessly helped people throughout Tsirigo, leaving his mark on many aspects of the local community. Until his final years, he was involved in farming and beekeeping.
The people of Kythira bid him farewell with respect and emotion, cherishing the memory of a man who, through his life, brought honor to his homeland.
