The Property Committee of Kythera and Antikythera with the end of the stay of the «Holy Gifts» on our island and the festivities of «Panagia Mirtidiotissa» feels obliged to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the successful completion of this unprecedented for our island project.
In particular, all the professionals and workers in the catering sector, hotels and accommodation, taxi and bus transport, tourist offices, health staff and our pharmacists because some of our guests needed medical care, who with their general behavior highlighted and made known the hospitality of Kytheria to thousands of pilgrims from Crete, the Peloponnese, the distant Litochoro, Kilkis, Thessaloniki, etc. There were indeed thousands of them according to the number of candles (30,000.00) and candles (800) consumed on those days compared to the whole of 15 August when 17,000 were consumed.

Greece, «Martyria» Chania etc. All the participants in our philharmonic and the conductor LEYTERI Panagiotis, our youth and our students, who with great decorum, order and respect came together with their remarkable teachers to the Holy Place to venerate the Holy Gifts and our Virgin Mary, the Greek Police and the newly elected from the higher S.A.E.A.A., Y/B ANTONOPOULO Vassiliou and the Coast Guard, the harbour masters CHRISTOPHORAKI Vasiliki and GIANNAKOPOULOU NIKI.
Finally, we wish and pray that our revered Father Peter Slavos will soon overcome his health problem, with the help of the Virgin Mary, whom he serves continuously and tirelessly, and return healthy and strong to his Spiritual ministry, whose offer to Myrtidiotissa is unique and invaluable.
