The IB was held in Zakynthos΄ Panhellenic Congress from 18 to 21 October 2023. The institution of holding Panionian Congresses was established in 1914 and since then it has been held every four years on a rotating basis in the Ionian Islands.
Η Kythira Studies Society was represented by members of the Board of Directors: the President Ms. Katie Aroni-Tsichli, the Vice President Mr. George Leontsinis and the Treasurer Mr. Theodoros Koukoulis, as well as by members of the Company: Athanasia Leontsini, Kosmas Megalokonomos, Nikos Louranto, Kostas Tsalta, Eleni Leontsini & Maritina Leontsini.
The Conference was organised by the Zakynthian Cultural Research Society under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic. Both the contributions of the members of the Society and those of the other participants highlighted new elements on the history and culture of the Ionian Islands.
