The «Sex and the City» returns as a mini-series (a few episodes) on HBO MAX, according to the Deadline.
According to the Page Six, three of the four leading ladies, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Davis will be involved in the new episodes, but will be missing the Kim Katrall (who uniquely played the character of Samantha).
Last September, Sarah Jessica Parker told the Entertainment Tonight that he would be interested in doing «some episodes of Sex and the City,“ but ”I wouldn't call it a reboot I would call it a visit.».
«I'd like to see where everyone is. I'm curious, the world has changed since the film... technology, social media. Sexual politics and movements #MeToo and the Time's Up... I think that the Carrie Bradshaw she would love to share her feelings and thoughts,» Parker had said.
A few days ago and while rumors about the return of the famous series (followed by two movies) were heating up again, Kim Katrall, who stars this year in Fox «Filthy Rich», stated in podcast Women's Prize For Fiction that she feels «very lucky» to have a choice in her career.
He even referred to the reactions with which he was confronted in the social media after publicly stating that she was indifferent to embodying the Samantha Jones in a third Sex and the City movie.
Elsewhere in her interview, referring to the six seasons of the series and the two films that followed, Kim Katrall said «it was a lot of fun and I loved it.».
The series of Darren Starr, featuring the adventures of four young women in New York City, aired from 1998 to 2004 in 94 half-hour episodes on HBO and made a name for itself.
