Switzerland: Bombshell proposal to keep coronavirus deniers out of ICU

Shocking proposal to decongest Switzerland's hospitals.

Proposal to lose the right to hospitalisation in ICU pandemic deniers in order to decongest the system, said Willy Oggier, one of the country's leading epidemiologists.

«If someone is skeptical about coronavirus, must be taken into account when making decisions,» Mr Oggier said, adding: «I propose that coronavirus deniers lose their right to be treated in a bed or intensive care unit if there is congestion in the hospital. Anyone who deliberately disregards the rules of distance and hygiene should be held responsible for their actions. I suggest that such persons should be registered by name and, in case of doubt, should not be provided with an intensive care bed.».

The situation in Switzerland is particularly critical, with the government having put the army at the disposal of the depleted health personnel. The wards are overcrowded and as a result patients with other diseases are at risk of contracting coronavirus.

In Switzerland, every 15 minutes the stretchers bring patient with coronavirus, while in areas half of the tests - and there are many tests carried out - are positive.

In the throes of the pandemic coronavirus is even the World Health Organization which has its offices in the Alpine country. Dozens of workers have tested positive for the virus and some have already been hospitalised.
