Emergency traffic arrangements 2021 due to COVID19

Posted on the electronic website of the Municipality of Kythera, the extraordinary -because of covid-19- traffic regulations that will be in force until September 30. These provide for:

ABLEMONAS until 30 September:

• Complete prohibition of vehicle traffic from the intersection «Tsaousianika» to the restaurant «Psomoladea» (except Police, Fire Department, Ambulances, Municipal Services, Public Services and disabled persons), for the hours 19:00 - 03:00.
• During the hours of prohibition, the traffic will be exclusively on the ring road.
• Shops will be supplied outside the above hours.

HPSALI up to 30 September:

• Complete curfew daily along the entire length of the coastal road (except for Police, Fire Service, Ambulances, Municipal Services, Public Services and disabled persons), for the hours 19:00 - 05:30.
• During the hours of prohibition, the traffic of vehicles will be exclusively from the main (middle) road of the settlement.
• Shops will be supplied outside the above hours.

COUNTRY until 30 September:

• Complete daily curfew along the main road from the entrance of the settlement (Supermarket «New Market») to Belvedere (except Police, Fire Service, Ambulances, Municipal Services, Public Services and disabled persons) for the hours 10:00 - 14:30 and 19:00 - 06:00.
• During the hours of prohibition the traffic will be exclusively on the ring road.
• The parking - waiting area (taxi stand) is transferred to the small square at the entrance of Chora.
• Parking is prohibited from the entrance of Chora (Supermarket «New Market») and along the entire length of the road and around D. Stai Square. Exceptions are: a) official vehicles of the Municipality or cars belonging to one-member administrative bodies of the Municipality in the predetermined parking spaces at the entrance of the Municipal Store, b) commercial vehicles for catering and loading and unloading of goods from 06:00 to 19:00.

Wait until 30 September:

• Complete prohibition of vehicles from the central square of Mitata (outside the Holy Church of Holy Trinity - cistern) to the Memorial of the Fallen of the Local Community, (except Police, Fire Service, Ambulances, Municipal Services, Public Services and disabled persons), for the hours 19:00 - 02:00.
• Complete prohibition of vehicles over 3.5 tons from the central square of Mitata (outside the Holy Church of Holy Trinity - cistern) to the Memorial of the Fallen of the Local Community for the hours 14:00 - 02:00.

MILLOPOTAMOS until 30 September:

• Complete parking ban on both sides of the main road from «Mesa Square» to the house of Antonio Konomou. The supply of the shops in the area will be carried out exclusively by temporary/one-minute parking.

RIVER until 30 September:

• Complete curfew on El. Venizelos (ascent) every Sunday, from Pharmacy «Trifili» to Bakery «Chrysafitis», (except Police, Fire Service, Ambulances, Municipal Services, Public Services and disabled persons), for the hours 08:30 - 14:00.
• Complete daily ban on parking vehicles on both sides of the main road El. Venizelos from Pharmacy «Trifilli» to Bakery «Chrysafitis», except for the temporary / one-minute stop exclusively for the supply of the local CPS. Exceptionally, the stopping of vehicles of licensed hawkers of primary production alongside the Square and on the roadway on El. Venizelos.
• During the hours of prohibition the traffic of vehicles to Ag. Anastasia-Karava will be exclusively from the ring road.
