The Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy announces the extraordinary launching of the ferry «HELLENIC HYSPID» N.P. 12331 of the company «HELLENIC SEAGOIS S.A.», on the routes «NEAPOLI BEACH - KYTHIRA and return» and «NEAPOLI BEACH - KYTHIRA - ANTIKYTHIRA and return» for the period from 15-02-2024 to 29-02-2024 in order to meet the exceptional and urgent transport needs that have arisen in the coastal shipping service of Kythera and Antikythera after the grounding of the vessel «AKOUA JIOUEL» N.P. 11045 in the port of Diakoftium of Kythera on 06-02-2024.
The ferry service will be operated with four (04) routes per week on the line «NEAPOLI BEACH - KYTHIRA» and with two (02) routes per week on the line «NEAPOLI BEACH - KYTHIRA - ANTIKYTHIRA».
