🎬 Monday, August 3 | «Break the Mold»

(In collaboration with the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth)

  • Topic: Conformism – Massification – Individuality.
  • Case: A specially curated selection of short films (made by both professionals and children). The stories focus on the individual’s inner need to break free from a predetermined path, raising questions about both the cost and the redemptive power of difference in the face of homogenizing conformity.

🎬 Monday, August 10 | «Franco’s Dinner» (2026, Spain)

  • Case: Immediately after the end of the Spanish Civil War, the dictator Franco organizes a lavish dinner at Madrid’s historic Hotel Palace to celebrate his victory. What he doesn’t know is that all the chefs in the kitchen are political prisoners. For them, preparing this dinner is their last and most dangerous chance to «cook up» their escape. (Exclusive Preview)

🎬 Monday, August 17 | «The Selfish Giant» / The Selfish Giant (2013, England)

  • Case: A harsh yet deeply human modern fairy tale. Thirteen-year-old Arbor and his best friend Swiftie, marginalized and expelled from their school, meet Kitten—a local scrap metal dealer who takes on the role of the «Selfish Giant.» The two boys begin collecting scrap metal for him with a cart, venturing down dangerous paths that test their friendship.

🎬 Monday, August 24 | «The 47» / El 47 (2024, Spain)

  • Case: Based on a true story. Manolo Vital, a bus driver in a run-down neighborhood of Barcelona, fights every day for the basics: public transportation, schools, and healthcare. Witnessing the despair of his fellow residents and the indifference of city officials, he decides to take matters into his own hands by carrying out an act of activism that will transform the community.

🎬 Monday, August 31 | «The Mirror of Our Humanity»

(In collaboration with the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth)

  • Topic: Rediscovering Our Relationship with Animals.
  • Case: A series of short films for children and young people that explores the complex relationship between humans and the animal kingdom. The films highlight the contradictions of this relationship—from companionship and care to exploitation—and bringing animals back into the spotlight as sentient beings with rights.

🎬 Monday, September 7 | «Unruly» / Mustang (2015, Turkey / France)

  • Case: In a remote village in Turkey, the innocent interaction of five orphaned siblings with their classmates at the beach causes a scandal within their conservative family. Their home gradually turns into a prison, with household chores and arranged marriages replacing school. However, the girls’ free spirit and their determination to live life on their own terms are not easily suppressed.
  • 📍 Location: Karava Elementary School
