«Paper Gardens» is the new exhibition by Georgia Tseri and Dimitris Andreopoulos, who continue their creative collaboration through a shared visual dialogue. The two artists draw their inspiration from the garden as a place of coexistence and care; a space where natural materials, light, and human gesture come together to shape an experience of observation and tranquility. The exhibition explores the multiple expressions of paper both as a natural material and as a medium for artistic creation. Paintings, light installations, sculptural constructions, and aromatic compositions coexist in a unified environment, where paper, wood, bamboo, wire, and light come together to form a cohesive visual language.
Dimitris Andreopoulos presents lighting fixtures and sculptural installations made of paper, wood, and wire. The organic forms of his works highlight the relationship between structure and light, emphasizing the sculptural and functional dimensions of simple, natural materials.
Georgia Tseri presents a new series of works featuring ink on handmade paper, lighting fixtures, and aromatic compositions. In recent years, her study of Japanese calligraphy and ink painting has fundamentally shaped her work, leading to a more minimalist visual language in which line, rhythm, and observation of the natural world take center stage.
At the heart of their collaboration lies the belief that materials possess their own expressive power. The artistic process does not seek to alter their nature, but rather to highlight their qualities and unique presence. Handcrafted creation, the simplicity of the materials, and careful observation of the natural world form the common ground upon which their artistic vision unfolds.
