The official and final trailer for James Cameron's highly anticipated sequel to «Avatar: The Way of Water» has been released.
Thirteen years have passed since the release of the first film, and about a decade in terms of screenplay.
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana return to their roles as Jake and Neytiri, living with their family, which has grown in new underwater worlds on the idyllic planet of Pandora. Joining them are Joel David Moore, Stephen Lang, and Sigourney Weaver, who takes on a new role.
Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, and Vin Diesel are the new additions to the cast.
Avatar: The Way of Water, which runs for three hours and ten minutes, is the first of four sequels to the 2009 blockbuster, with the remaining three set for release in 2024 in 2026 and 2028, respectively, although the legendary director has hinted in an interview with Empire that he may not direct the last two films in the series.
The film will be released exclusively in theaters on December 16.
