The results of the open, public, international tender for the service PIRAEUS - KYTHIRA - ANTIKYTHIRA - KISSAMOS and return, PIRAEUS - KYTHIRA - KISSAMOS and return, GYTHEIO - KYTHIRA - ANTIKYTHIRA - KISSAMOS and return and GYTHEIO - KYTHIRA and return were approved.
For the next few months, until October 2023, the F/B “Aqua Jewel” will operate on the subsidized routes it has been operating until today, connecting our islands with Piraeus, the Peloponnese and Crete. It should be noted that for the first time, after many years, the second connection per week between Kythera and Crete and Gythio is established, which causes excitement among the residents and tourism professionals in our islands.
The total amount of the state subsidy to the company is €7.3 million per year.
The results of the competition are as follows:
Piraeus - Kythira - Antikythera - Kissamos and return, with the performance of one route per week throughout the entire duration of the route period with the possibility of calling at intermediate ports, for a rental of fifty thousand nine hundred and fifty euros (50.950,00 euros), not including VAT, per full route.
Piraeus - Kythira - Kissamos and return, with the performance of one route per week throughout the entire duration of the scheduling period with the possibility of calling at intermediate ports, for a rental of forty-five thousand four hundred and ten euros (45.410,00 euros), not including VAT, per full route.
GYTHEIO - KYTHIRA - ANTIKYTHIRA - KISSAMOS and return, with the performance of one route per week throughout the duration of the season, for a rental fee of thirty thousand five hundred and fifty euros (30.550,00 euros), not including VAT, per full route.
GYTHEIO - KYTHIRA and return, with the performance of one route per week throughout the entire duration of the season, for a rental of fourteen thousand two hundred and forty euros (14.240,00 euros), not including VAT, per full route.
The contract is valid for the period until 31/10/2023 and may be extended for a period of up to four months.
